I had a reservation at 8 AM, and got dropped off a few minutes early because I had a tight schedule that morning. Still not open at 8, I called the paper sign taped to the door. I assume it was someone's personal cell, they didn't answer with "Payless" or anything, just "Hello?". I told them myself and another customer were standing outside in the cold, waiting for our 8 AM reservations. He said they were supposed to have been pushed until 9, but neither of us had been contacted. He said he didn't have the car I'd reserved but could give me a 12 passenger van. I called . my husband to come get me, but by the time he got there, the employee had shown up and said, whoops, he did have the car after all. Waste of my time, my husbands time, the time of the person who had to come over and watch our kids on short notice. The people at the 1800 number were completely indifferent. I did get a small discount, but it was not worth it. Never going here again.

This place is awful. We have had TWO completely unacceptable experiences with this place. The first was when we showed up for our reservation, and no one was at the office at all. We had to wait a while until someone showed up to help us... didn't leave with the car for over an hour later. The second time was this morning. My husband showed up for our car reservation (placed WEEKS ago), and the agent told him they had no cars. Period. No cars, no offer to fix the situation, nothing. We have now spent an additional $150 for a car rental today through another company. This is UNACCEPTABLE and HORRIBLE customer service. While the prices are low, my friends, this is NOT worth it.

pay less, GET MORE TRUBLE. 

Even one star is too much for this company at this location. When I went there to pick up the car, they said no car is available except for a truck. It is funny. When you reserve a car in this company, also consider you may not find a car. In other words, if you want to RUIN all your plans, GO there.  Never consider this place. Also, customer service is terrible. An aggressive agent, unfriendly. Instead of helping you, they make you more stressed out.

Don't rent a car from here because they were overcharged you and then try to take more out of your bank account then you authorized

My family and I showed up at Indy airport at 6am with a reservation with Payless.   When I called for a shuttle, I was told that there were 60 reservations for 3 cars available.   My family would have to sit around until a car was returned by a previous customer.   When I found another car at Hertz for $200/week more, I called Payless back to cancel and they hung up on me.   Merry Christmas!    Never again...
