YUM! Clean location, polite employees & great value for what you pay for! Visited during lunch and loved our food. For fast food we love the chicken. 1/2 chicken with 2 sides is filing. Mango tea was refreshing. Use the app for rewards! I would recommend this spot and suggest you leave a review to help others decide. :
This place sucks. This is the only location near my house that is the only reason I keep going back but it is quite ridiculous that at 9:15 they are not serving anything and it’s shut down. I also work in customer service and I understand if you close at 10 you want to get out and go but there is absolutely no reason to close a whole hour early and this is not the first time as I stated this is the only location close to me so I’ve came here various times and it’s always the same thing. At least change your hours to let others know not to waste their time as they won’t be served.
Always fills a gap for me, used to buy the tropichop, but didn't like the meat serving. My go to now is the 1/4 leg n thigh, with yellow rice and black beans. It never fails and holds true to its delicious taste. Not much of atmosphere its just a regular fast food set up. I normally just use the drive and eat in my car. Always trying to get the mango habanero sauce but it's been out, however fell in love with the pineapple rum sauce. Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for kids. Parking: Lots of available parking spots.
We ordered delivery because we could not go there and the order was missing a dessert the sauces and the chicken look like the left overs of someone no utensils and overall everything look like it were leafy overs
All I can is what a disappointment!!!! What happened to this one time favorite. I ordered the normal bowl and the portions have definitely shrunk. We attempted to order a bowl minus the rice and add lettuce. The manager rudely walks up and states, “ it’s not what the customer wants, it’s what’s policy” We were taken back. My other half declined any food from the manager. She did not dine in. We can only imagine why we were they only people in the restaurant during a popping Friday night. Got home to deliver the to-go quesadilla, and my step-son asked if that was a kids portion? Either way it’s not the Latin/Caribbean restaurant it used to be. I would strongly suggest closing this store down. And to clarify , N. Dale Mabry location. BTW …. we went next door to Sprouts. The sandwich’s are awesome!!!!! I was still hungry after eating my child’s portion bowl.
It's not what it used to be. I've been going to this location since it opened. Like all of the locations it had a Caribbean theme with thematic music and decor. That started changing about 5 years ago they changed the decorations, changed the menu, went from Pepsi products to Coke products, and it became rather bland. Then the pandemic hit and they understandably took away the sauce bar and drink station, but the pandemic is over and they're still gone. The food is still good, but I don't go there nearly as often because it's just not the same place anymore. The ambiance and dine in experience is dead.
Went through the drive thru. The experience was horrible. The young lady that took our order was rude. I asked about the quesadillas and she seemed annoyed. I realize working in food service can be difficult at times. I also understand that it is difficult to keep a quality staff in this day and age. However, customer service, attitude, cleanliness and overall good product is what will make you successful. When the young lady was so rude this evening I decided to speak to the manager on shift. His answer made me realize why the young lady that took my order is so rude. His reasoning as to why she was rude is because they have a difficult time keeping staff and staying open. I have been in food service for 20 years. That excuse was nonsense. A job is a job is a job. To keep that job there are rules and standards especially in food service that must be adhered to. The moment he told me his reasoning. I told my children that I guarantee the sanitation and quality in the restaurant will also be lacking. Customers decide whether to come back or not based on the service. If the manager allows the staff to be rude they will also allow them to do the bear minimum in cleanliness and production. I know the job is stressful but the attitude is not warranted. I urge cooperate to take a good look at this restaurant. It is lacking on many levels. You may need some serious restructuring if you want to continue to stay in business at this location. Your personnel NEED TRAINING and to be monitored. Although I had already paid for my dinner we did not consume it. I am extremely disappointed, and dissatisfied with this restaurant.
My boyfriend and his son eat Pollo Tropical at least 2 a week.Their prices are decent and you get fresh Spanish food , right off their grill! On top of you can go through an actual Drive-Thru! One of their sauces is secret recipe which we always try and get as much as we can on the side because it’s good with everything. I will update with how good the food looks probably tonight when they get it.
They were out of steak, and mash potatoes which I wanted. So I had to get chicken and pork. Small portions and the Cuban sandwich was so small for 8.29 what a rip off. Very expensive and not worth it. Will not go back . They were out of other stuff also and at dinner time you should be well stocked with everything. And I ask for plantains and they said that wasn’t one of the sides but the side that I wanted they were out and should of gave me the plantains. Parking: Was terrible
CHECK THE ORDER TO MAKE SURE ITS CORRECT!! We ordered a takeout family meal this evening and were very disappointed. It seems there isn't anyone that checks orders for accuracy. There were numerous items missing from our order such as no sauces for whole chicken, no salsa for chicken wrap, no gravy for mashed potatoes and so on. We even paid extra for mojo pork but that was missing as well. We had high hopes for a delicious family meal at home but were left sad and disappointed.
