I love my Soul I bought from Thornton Road Kia, but I am glad there I won’t be going there for service. A small $4 piece of plastic was missing from my roof when I picked up my car after having a sunroof installed. It took four phone calls and three texts and countless hours of my life to get this tiny part replaced. They put me one hold, they passed me from department to department. Sales blamed service and service blamed parts. They were rude. I finally had to show up in person, a 20 mile drive out of my way. THEN and only then did I get some action. They ordered my part — the same part they told me they ordered a month earlier. I asked to have it mailed to me. They said I would have to pay for shipping. Seriously. But then they thought better of it. Don’t be fooled by the fact that their service department is empty and think that it’s because Kias are so awesome and reliable. Their service department is empty because they offer no service.

I have not had a very pleasant experience with this dealership. I have tried calling them a few different times today to schedule a maintenance appointment and also to ask some questions about the maintenance services. I was placed on hold for a ridiculous amount of time the first time I reached the service department. I eventually had to hang up because I had to go to work. I tried calling a couple of more times throughout the day and no one answered. The voice mailbox in the service department was full so I could not leave a message. I spoke with Tonya (the person directing the calls) about the issue. She assured me she would leave a message for the service department to call me back; they never did. I'm seriously thinking about taking my car else where to get the oil changed. This is not the first time I have had an issue contacting certain departments at the dealership. No one answers or I get the run around. I purchased my Kia Forte from the dealership last year. The only reason I considered getting the car was because of the prices they had listed on their website and I needed a new car. As soon as I requested more information on the particular car, they kept calling me asking me to come in right away. (But now I can hardly get anyone on the phone.) They talked me into purchasing a car for twice as much! I told them I was on a budget upfront, but they were just trying to make a sale. I have regretted my decision on purchasing the car ever since. I should have done more research before deciding to come here to get a car.

If I could give no stars I would. I can say this with all the honesty I have in me, this place will NEVER get my service ever again. They have poor customer service. I was told my car would be ready for me to pick up from it getting worked on and I went up there (an hour drive) and went inside to tell them I was here to pick my car up.. well I stood there for 15 minutes for them trying to find my keys. Then finally they found them I got my car and I was pulling out of the parking lot when I saw there was a traction control light on and none of the buttons on my steering wheel worked (which they did before I took it there) they had given me a new engine because my car was under warranty. So I drive my car back and asked them about the light on in my car and then just "forgot to tell me". Well long story short They messed up something on my car while they were fixing the engine! So they go in to tell me I have to pay to get what they messed up fixed!!! They have me a "discount" for not telling me that there was a light on inside my car. I am having to pay 1,000 dollars for their mistake. My car stayed there for three months before they got to fix it. Nobody in this place needs to be working with customers because they are rude and disrespectful. So if you have a Kia that needs to be worked on this is not the place to take it. Just think of the worst customer service you have ever had... if you go here they will be at the top of that list.

If less than one star was an option, that would be my choice. Since we were a Kia Family, I was really excited about getting my first Kia, but I've been nothing but highly disappointed. Since I drove my Rio off of the lot, I've had so many problems. First time I called the service department about my brakes shaking, they told me it was bad gas and not to worry about it... without even looking at my car. It turned out to not be bad gas but an actual issue with my brakes. Second time I took my car to get it serviced, they locked my key in my car and I had to drive an hour home and back to the dealership just to get my spare. Now I have dropped off my Kia because my personal mechanic (Not Kia dealership services) diagnosed an issue with my car that is apparently a manufacture defect, and he advised me to take it back to the dealership because my car shouldn't be brand new and having these issues. I have bumper to bumper warranty until 100,000 miles but apparently this specific problem is only covered for the first year, 12,000 miles. (Mine is 15,XXX miles) How convenient. Needless to say, they don't stand behind their products, they don't care about customer satisfaction or safety. Once I can get rid of this Kia, I will and I will never go back to a Kia, especially from this dealership. I highly advise you look elsewhere as well.

I want to start off by saying I would rate this dealership and Kia corporate at a 0 on Saturday 3/25 my 2015 Kia Optima I bought brand new from this dealership completely shut off while I had my 6 year old daughter and niece in my car going 65 mph on the interstate. Luckily we were able to get out of the way of cars and no one was injured. I dropped my car off Sunday 3/26 knowing service was closed I needed my car looked at as soon as possible, since this is my only transportation and I am a single mom. I received a phone call on 3/27 at 7:30 being told they started my car it's in service and from hearing the engine when it started it would not be covered under warranty and that I would need to pay 6000 for new one. I for one do not have the funds to afford a new engine, that is the whole reason why I purchased the Kia for the 100,000 mile warranty. On 3/28 I got a call from the dealership saying my claim was denied due to lack of receipts, yet they never told me where to send them who to send them to. I called Kia corporate on 3/28 started a complaint/claim they said they would get back to me on Friday 3/31. I never heard anything so I contacted them, was told they are taking it hire up and I now should here something by Wednesday 4/5. I have sent them a few receipts where my oil was changed at a service station and I am now going through my account to get receipts where I have purchased my oil and filter and had an individual do. I have not had a transportation for almost a week, while my vehicle has been at their location. Told they have no loaners available and they will not give me one unless work is being performed, personally what a load of bs my car is at their facility over night, any other car manufacturer would have placed me in the loaner once they knew they would be keeping my car. I am very displeased with this whole experience with Kia. I do not recommend this dealership or for anyone to purchase a Kia vehicle, they do not care about their customers nor honor the 100,000 mile warranty under any cause. Go on google and search it happens all the time. I will be going to the dealership tomorrow 4/1 to speak with the sales manager and service manager on what and how they are going to do to better assist me on this matter and how they will be providing me with a loaner vehicle no way around that. No results from them in this matter will leave me to seek further action outside of Kia corporate and the dealership this coming Monday.
