Have been asked to pay the double of what I usually pay for the same service at the same place. Manager Jacky was called to confirm that even thought the price I usually pay to send my envelopes was displayed on the screen they cannot choose it because my envelopes were in fact parcels. Yes, I do look like a tourist.

This USPS location is enormous, albeit a bit old and dim. I feel as though I'm stepping into NYC in another time. Unfortunately, it still uses antiquated technology and non-user friendly systems. However, there are some queuing technologies such as an available cashier notification system, self service stations, etc. The USPS staff member who helped me was incredibly helpful and expressed excitement for me as a stamp collector. He ended up showing me the eclipse stamps, and I happily purchased two sheets. For letters, smaller packages, and domestic US mail, USPS has more affordable service than its private competitors (UPS, Fedex) and reliable service!

Very long lines and few clerks at terminals. They want the force everyone to self-service. Disgraceful.

I've been here several times and have always had positive experiences, so surprised at the amount of 1-star ratings. That said, there's typically a line as this is centrally located next to tons of business and Grand Central. The staff at the registers is courteous, but it's tough to find someone if you have a question about how to utilize the self-serve machine or any other postal related questions.

As with all Post Office location, the workers move at the speed of a sloth as confirmed in the movie Zootopia. What I like about this location is the free use of their gopost service. It allows you to use their post office address to receive medium to small size packages and you just pick them up in a kiosk without need to interact with any humans/sloths. There are a few workers here that went out of their way to help when either my package was too big for the gopost or was in some neutral zone between gopost box and the post office.
