Slow and long wait for the modern day service experience. They do not have the vending machine for stamp or self serve shipping. Bring your phone and your favorite app, because you are gonna spend a long time here...especially around noon or holidays.

Went in at around 2:00pm on a Monday. Pretty much no wait and very friendly in handling of my question to add tracking to a letter.

In the middle of a weekday, there don't tend to be very many people here, so it's actually quite pleasant. One of the guys even seems to be downright cheerful!

This is the BEST POST OFFICE IN NYC!! The inside is clean, all paper/box supplies are filled, and staff are very kind!!! Having very bad experience in my neighborhood's post office in Greenpoint over 10 years, I was ready to argue when I went there to ship a box to Finland. Surprisingly, all staff are nice and kind, even smile! They gave me right instruction, asked me if I need more help, or buy some stamps. That NEVER happened in other post office in NYC!! Thank you very much!!!!!

This is the absolute worst Post Office I have ever been to, if I could give it zero stars I would. The staff in here, apart from the one man that works here, are all incredibly rude. They have absolutely zero customer service skills and are all completely unhelpful; they are a pathetic representation of US Government and the individuals they choose to employ. I just walked in there with a box and for once there wasn’t a line 25 people long, I walked up to the window and the woman just stared at me like I was interrupting her day. I taped the box shut in front of her and then told her I needed to ship the box – at this point she had yet to say one word to me while she watched me standing there, not even a “Hello, how can I help you?”. She aggressively told me that I needed to put an address on the box. I asked her if she could print an address label for the box and she said no. I asked if there was a label in the lobby I could use and she again said no. Didn’t offer any help or indicate the best way to complete this ridiculously simple task. I then asked if I could borrow a marker, after glaring at me for a second she reluctantly handed me the marker. After I wrote the address on the box, she took it from me and then got angry because it needed a customs form as it was being shipped internationally. I told her that it would have been nice to know this before I taped the box shut in front of her and she immediately became defensive and told me it was not her problem and asked “how was I supposed to know?” I told her that if she would have done her job and wouldn’t have been so rude when I arrived, and when I asked her for help with the label she would have known it was going to be shipped internationally. At this point she told me to “shut up and to get out of here”, didn’t even bother to point me in the direction of where I could get a customs form, let alone instructions on how it should be completed. I’d rather pay twice as much to have my items shipped with FedEx or UPS than to deal with the people in that Post Office.
