WARNING!! If you live in the NYC area YOU MUST OWN YOUR OWN CAR AND SHOW PROOF OF INSURANCE ON THAT CAR in order to rent here. It's a totally bizzaro policy, and my wife and I did finally manage to rent a car because luckily we are insured on cars owned by our family, but if you are not already insured they will NOT let you rent here, even if you are covered by your credit card OR willing to purchase rental insurance from them. Make sure to call before you book Advantage!!

I arrived at Logan airport on a medical emergency visit, and I needed a car but had no reservation. I arrived at the counter and and was greeted professionally and with a smile. I was able to get a car right away, and thank God I was able to use my debit card, because my Creditcard was forgotten at home. Thank you Advantage Rental for your assistance! Wonderful job and very please with the Best  rates at the airport upon arrival! SS

This business is a rip off artist. I had read other reviews via on google and the reviews were mixed but enough to make me be cautious so I prepared myself for the possible scenarios indicated where they get you so I had a backup reservation. However despite them smiling in my face, they still tricked me and got me. Somehow despite telling the person I didn't want any liability insurance, she still signed me up interpreting that I wanted a collision insurance waiver which means the way they phrase in the contract to avoid being liable to them for any accidents, I have to pay them 9 euros/day to avoid any claims against me. Holy Cow. What double talk, twisted way to create an option to make you pay for their liability insurance. When the agent gave my papers I specifically asked her to explain the charges listed and she told me it was the deposit for the car. When I returned the car, now the cost is for liability insurance. Incredible. I didn't need this, it isn't a good price if they tack on costs to make money. I think its shameful behavior by a business. If you can't make money by being a bargain, they don't offer the service.

My reservation was cancelled although I had already paid due to "65 miles radius policy" which I was not made aware of until I showed up to get my car.  They claimed this policy showed up upon reserving the car & I should have agreed. I didn't have that in my reservation print out.   How was the rental able to go through then. Missed my appointment due to this fiasco. They did refund my money quickly.

Appalling experience. Never again. Overcharged by an extra week for what should have been an an extra days charge. The clerk Luis tried to justify the charge by saying that the extra charge was due to the time lapsed while I was waiting in their slow line to complain. Also he is deliberately misleading customer about their need for an ez pass (for which they charge $24 per day!) you don't need an ez pass for any toll - you can pay cash or be billed by plate. It's worth paying a bit more just to avoid dealing with these clowns. Use a real company.
