Everything about our most recent Enterprise Rental experience was great with one minor exception. The Customer Service Representatives were genuinely friendly; it wasn't forced or as "canned" as NYC service personnel often are. We were given our choice of vehicles and all ll were clean and professionally detailed.  The pickup and return processes were quick and seamless. The one minor hiccup was that the Enterprise Rental counter was actually an additional shuttle ride (after the train ride from the terminal to the other rental sites) and the Enterprise shuttle had no air conditioning (on the first day of July no less). But the staff made up for it with sincere apologies and ice cold bottled water. 

As a native New Yorker, I was pleasantly impressed with the overall positive experience and would recommend Enterprise to anyone traveling through the New York metro area.

Arrived by air train and walked over. The young lady that greeted us was barely pleasant. Just doing her job. 

The second young lady who was to show us to our car seemed to be doing the same.  We were a bit annoyed that we were being shown cars that were NOT what we had reserved. 

It all worked out in the end. Fellow who greeted us on our return was quite pleasant. 

Hertz gold next time I think.

Enterprise is a top notch rental agency.  I've used them in multiple locations and they never disappoint.  The one at JFK is typical.  You always get at least the car you reserved, here and there a free upgrade.  Fast check in, fast check out.  Friendly staff.  There is none better.

It did not take long for the shuttle bus to take me to the rental car location from the airport. The staff was courteous, provided an upgrade, and had the car ready with the AC on and no delays. The drop off to a different location was also quick and efficient. I appreciated the complimentary ride to the train station.

Enterprise is a different car rental experience because of their personal, even enthusiastically customer-friendly approach. To be sure, Enterprise employees are carefully trained and supervised to be so attentive.  From the moment the shuttle van picks you up - and the driver joyfully jumps out to help with your bags - to your arrival at the check-out desk - and the clerks hands each of you a bottle of water - to the well- dressed agent taking you to your car to inspect it and show you how everything works, Enterprise "picks you up."  

Well done, Enterprise!  Someone studied the importance of customer service at business school, paid attention, and is in charge at Enterprise.  The cars may be basically the same, and the prices, BUT the service sets Enterprise apart.
