Good morning fellow consumers. Up until this point i really had no personal issues with Avis. However,this past friday (6/16/17) a close friend and his wife rented a van for an overnight fishing trip. Upon returning the next day,and in haste to return the van. I left my watch (android wear phone watch) on the floor behind the driver......the passenger seat directly behind.
I realize that avis runs a business. However,I've been calling since that saturday afternoon,following the protocol on the phone. Unable to leave a message when i press 5 as instructed for the lost and found. Not only are these things (android wear) obtained with hardwork and sacrifice. But no one wants to see their belongings taken or lost when something as simple
 as an answered phone call could have rectified the issue. This sort of thing happens everyday and further proves that these people have time to accept our hard earned money. But leaves answering questions and phone calls to automated unmanned services to deter us from calling.
I'm saddened not just by the fact that i may never get my watch. But by the fact that this is what customer service has come to in this great Nation. And i don't need some unapologetic response from some man sitting behind a desk sending us all the same message. I need someone to contact me concerning my watch(android wear)......(910)676-9868.

Arrived at Durham Raleigh Avis Counter at5:15.pm on saturday. Two at counter serving two customers. Two customers in front in my line. Took 30 minutes for the two at the counter. We reserved and pre paid for 7 passenger suv which they did not have. We had 7 in our party and luggage for 7.  Then they give us a vehicle and when we went to get in found out they gave it to someone else.  We ended up with a filthy car and an hour and 15 minute wait. They were sorry so that fixed everything.  Do not use them.

Terrible service, vehicle was bbroken, and was over charged. Prepaid for a vehicle and was still over charged for my rental. Fees were snuck in ( from my understanding there are commissions involved for upwelling). Will never rent from this place again.

Horrible. Took one and 1/2 hour to get car. I understand Friday AM is a busy time, but plan to have more than only 2 agents working. Once in line, support representative said insurance is one time cost of 30 dollars. I asked, one time charge for the entire length of 3 day rental, she said yes. Wrong and tricked. Was charged 30 dollars per day.  My rental was only 15 dollars a day. Why would I pay 30 dollars a day for insurance? When returning car, had no idea where to return it. No representatives to assist at all. Not sure how a 15 per day rental turns for 3 days turned out to be 200 dollars. Not ever going to this AVIS at RDU airport again.

These guys are GREAT!  Last time I rented here I got a BMW X3.  I had reserved an intermediate level car and got a BMW SUV.  I am presidents level reward, so I know that has a lot to do with it.  But I rented from Hertz in Newark for 4 months straight and was upgraded maybe 3 times.  These guys leave a personal message in the car and upgrade pretty much every time I rent.
