Buying or leasing a car is tough and it's a game you and the dealership have to play in order to get the best deal for the both of you (mainly the customer). Beyer Kia cheats at this game. I wouldn't buy from these guys. The manager, Tom Roe, will withhold financial information from you about a car to prevent you from calculating your own monthly payments. Tom will also LIE to his customers. It took some time to get the money factor the dealership was using to calculate their interest rates (rent charge applied to the base monthly) for a lease. I asked what kind of incentives they have for top-tier lessees since I qualified as one. Tom said I would have to come into the dealership and for them to do a credit check to calculate that (Lie #1: Why would they need to run a credit check for this? This isn't necessary especially if you're going in just for some discussion. Other dealers don't do this, they provide you the numbers up front if you request it.) I tried to get the money factor/interest rate reduced, again, Tom lied again and said the money factor is set by the manufacturer (Lie #2: This isn't true AT ALL. This is set by the dealer and not the manufacturer. This is how the dealer profits from customers by charging them monthly interest on leased cars). My wife also contacted them unknowingly before I contacted them (she contacted all the local dealers through Kia's website). The salesman at Beyer Kia provided ALL of the lease numbers to her with no questions and even included the money factor which TOM ROE printed out for the salesman. The interest given to my wife was lower on her lease option than the numbers Tom gave me. Weird...I thought the money factor was set by the manufacturer? I understand dealers will mark up different rates for different customers to make money. It's a business. What I don't appreciate are the lies. Tom intervened once I provided my wife's quote she got and called them out on their different rates they gave me. Tom intervened. Wanted to 'cut-to-the-chase' and ask what I was looking for (the email was rude). Gave him a number I was looking for monthly. Didn't acknowledge my number and asked if the car was for me or someone else. I responded a few days later (didn't see his email until 3 days later -- my fault on my end) and I stated that I was still willing to do business with Beyer Kia despite everything that happened. Never heard from him again (it's been a week). I recommend doing business elsewhere at another Kia dealership (a few in Maryland are nice -- they have cheaper rates. Parsons Kia in Winchester are great too if you're willing to make the drive). Don't be fooled by the rating on Google.

I purchased my 2011 Kia Optima Hybrid from here a few years ago. They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to get me all the features I wanted within my price range. My warranty was excellent and anything I needed, I was able to get in contact with Miguel, the service manager easily and schedule appointments that fit my schedule perfectly. He even made sure I got a loaner as not to interrupt my day. Fast forward to now, I have been trying to contact someone in service for an issue that should be covered due to a recall. I have been calling for a month and have gotten nothing but the voicemail of someone named Steve. I never get a call back. This has really changed the way I feel about the service here.

UPDATE -- I'm the week following the below review being posted, Beyer Kia sent me a check for the cost of the unnecessary work, which totaled approximately $225-$250 (not my original review claim of $400; I made a mistake in my calculations). I grately appreciate the reimbursement. I will not speculate as to whether or not Beyer Kia would have returned the overcharged money had I not publicly voiced my dissatisfaction; instead, I will simply consider my complaint fully resolved / closed. Thank you, Beyer Kia. Beyer Kia performed work on my vehicle which I did not agree to, nor did my vehicle require, based on their own mechanic's written comments on my vehicle's check-up inspection sheet. As a result, Beyer Kia overcharged me in excess of $400. Since the work was irreversible, I was forced to pay for these $400+ in excessive and unnecessary charges. The Service Attendant I original spoke to was not present when I picked up my vehicle, so I made multiple attempts to contact Beyer Kia regarding this issue; to date, Beyer Kia continues to ignore my voicemails. As a once-loyal Beyer Kia and Beyer Subaru customer for my two (2) vehicles, I will seek maintenance elsewhere from this point forward -- and STRONGLY RECOMMEND you do the same.

I brought my Optima in for 10 K mile service. I was more than pleased at the quality of service, and they washed and vacuumed it after servicing it. (you all do better cleaning and vacuuming than the professional Car Wash where I live, and they charge like $20.00). The Rep. that handled my service was outstanding! His name is Miguel. Miguel takes pride in the service he provided us. That's hard to find these days. Thank you, Ron Eagleboy

Everyone at Beyer Kia did an excellent job helping me select my next car. The sales people and business manager all worked tirelessly during a busy day to help me through the process with ease. Highly recommend this dealership. Keep it up guys!
