I was skeptical after reading previous reviews, but my experience could not have gone any smoother. Reserved a couple months in advance. I don't have a credit card so a credit check was required as well. I have average credit and no delinquencies, but I was still nervous. But it took about 10 minutes to get set to go. Got a free upgrade to an SUV since they didn't have any standard size cars at the location, which I was excited about. Dropped off at the airport and that took 30 seconds. I'll definitely come back in the future.

The car was ready on arrival. A few signatures later I was off. Turn in was quick also.

Reserved a vehicle with this company and was informed to pick the vehicle up after noon on said date.  An error on my behalf was that I failed to research the closing time of the facility (1pm).  Upon arrival (1:15pm) we realized that the establishment was closed and the lady was still behind the counter looking at us.  After calling inside she came to the door and rudely told us that they were closed.  We explained that we were told to pick up the vehicle after 12pm and she promptly told us to go to the airport.  I then called the emergency number on the door.  The representative informed me that my reservation code was for "Budget" and not "Avis."  The establishment is labeled "Avis/Budget."  Upon our return home we called Budget at the Colorado Springs Airport.  We asked if we could keep our same rates and they promptly informed us that we could not and increased the rate $250.  I will keep this in mind upon my consideration for future vehicle rentals.

Update/Caveat; upon making another set of reservations (30 minutes after the first disappointment) we went to the Colorado Springs airport to pick up the vehicle we just reserved.  Upon arrival the receptionist informed us that no other vehicles were available in Colorado Springs via their establishments.  Basically, all of their other locations close after 1pm on a Saturday and they cannot pull from the available inventory! (I was willing to drive to another location to pick up the vehicle!)  The receptionist then informed us that their reservation services (online and via telephone) were for nationwide.  Apparently Budget does not have accountability of their vehicles and I will not be using their services in the future.

Recommendations:  
1.)  Offer up-to-date information to the customers via online/telephonic services.
2.)  Have longer availability hours at store locations.
3.)  Train employees on customer service and store hours when making reservations.
4.)  Have a service available that can pull open inventory from any of the nearby locations.

Be aware!!!!Please do not rent a vehicle from budget. My husband and I are both active duty and the level of treatment we receive from this office and company has been horrible. First of all they gave us a vehicle with bold tires and was pulling completely to the right. Once we got on the highway headed from Colorado to Louisiana the car begin to shake when we reached about 60-65mph.  Unfortunately  we were to far to turn around I called this location and spoke to Elizabeth and crystal at the airport location and crystal told me oh well unless you turn around and bring the car back you will not receive a refund. Granted  we were in Kansas she started yelling at me and said a manager would call me Monday to help us find another vehicle and That never happen. So we call the customer service number and they stated, they could not help and we needed to contact roadside assistance we called them they stated we could pick up a vehicle once we arrived in Louisiana I called and the budget in Louisiana said they never spoke to anyone and they did not have any cars available. So he literally lied to us. We had to call the regional manager in Colorado Springs Rudy who barely helped us. After going back and forth about 3 days later after calling Rudy/roadside assistance they tell us they will have someone bring us a car. Well we find out from the tow truck company they told him to come get our loaner car first and bring it to Baton Rouge in which is almost 3 hours away and then bring us a vehicle. That is unacceptable bc per the contract they suppose to bring the vehicle to us then take the vehicle with the mechanical issues. Well the driver stated budget was trying to save money again. 3 days we had to utilize my parents car and keep the vehicle parked. So we finally get a new vehicle at 12pm  that night. 

So ed so I check my account. And my card was charged a few days later. We didn't sign a receipt after returning the vehicle bc we were told we would not be charged and the notes was in the system. This company is a fraud and is willing to put families safety at risk so they can save money. I had my 2 year old son in the car anything could have happen. I just call to speak to a manger and still no one will talk to us.  I recommend enterprise bc they are professionals and I will never rent a vehicle from budget again. This was a horrrible experience and for no one to contact us after we called several times this is unacceptable. We rented the vehicle from 8th street and returned it Colorado airport. Mrs. Green

I recently rented a car from the Budget facility on 8th St in Colorado Springs. The process was very easy; I reserved on line which saved money, the location was convenient & the staff person I dealt with was extremely polite, helpful & knowledgeable. It was for a business trip & my schedule changed multiple times. Budget staff were very good at making changes to my reservation - again, helpful & polite. I will definitely rent from Budget again in the future & recommend them to others. Thank you!
