Reserved an intermediate sized car weeks in advance. Went to pick it up and they gave me a 3 door hatchback Hyundai Veloster claiming it's an intermediate. Of course it was the only inter they had. Hyundai considers it a compact and has compacts larger! Beware of dealing with Enterprise, they will rip you off

We reserved online, but didn't see instructions on what was required to bring. You will need your driver's license (which we figured) proof of insurance, and pay stubs. There is also a deposit you have to pay which wasn't mentioned on the website, ours was $100. Still, overall a good experience; I feel it would have gone a lot faster if we'd known what all we needed to bring with us. Clean facilities, nice employees, I would recommend renting here!

One employee to help 15 people in line. Long wait times and ridiculous service. This place is a no go please save yourself and don't go here. Because of the simple fact of under staffing.

I have rented from Enterprise several times in the past, but this last experience was the worst. My car was put in the shop on 2/6/18 with a part on back order. The dealership paid for my rental under the stipulation that it it had to be a Chevrolet model. I was given a 2016 Camero that was trashed. It was absolutely filthy. The car had vomit in the back seat, sticky surfaces, etc. I tried to switch out to a different car and there was nothing available. They told me they could clean it and to try another branch. They cleaned the car but that was very basic. They cleaned the vomit which seemed to be a temporary fix because once the cleaning solution dried I could see the print of the spot resurfacing. They also vacuumed but the sticky surfaces and crumbs were still in the vehicle. I even found an old lottery ticket between the seats smh. I have a 6 yr old who was very uncomfortable in the back seat and had the hardest time putting on his seat belt with his booster seat in the way. I needed out of that car for sure. I went to the other branch on Mercury Blvd in Hampton, they had nothing. I went to two branches on J Clyde Morris Blvd in Newport News. One had a Chevy Sonic that was too small and also on hold and needed to go to the shop, the other branch had a Tahoe which I was told was on reserve but if I called back at noon that day (2/8/17) they would see about switching my out. I called, the manager placed me on hold to "call" the person that reserved it to ask if they were still coming. I was told the person was coming to pick it up....I drove past the building at 3 pm only to see it still out there. I had someone else call to see if they could reserve it and they were able to do that. My question is if you have a Chevrolet and nothing else was available don't they have to accommodate the customer? So basically I was lied to. If I was willing to pay for that Tahoe rental out of pocket I could have gotten it but because Chevy was paying for ti they did not want to switch me out? Furthermore if a customer says they are coming to pick up a vehicle and is a no show the reservation is forfeited correct? Well this was not the case. I ended up calling the dealership returning the rental to the original branch where I got the vehicle and the dealership gave me a loaner. After I got the loaner on 2/9/18, I drove by the branch on J Clyde on my way to work and the same Tahoe was still sitting there in the same parking spot as if it had never moved, or been rented. This is bad business and has definitely changed the way I feel about Enterprise and my doing business with them in the future.

The worst service I have ever had at a rent-a-car service. I and my wife were getting a vehicle worked on at Hampton Chevrolet at directed by our insurance company. So my wife drove to the Chevrolet dealership to drop off our vehicle for repair and enterprise was called, which is literally a 2 minute drive from the dealership. The dealership called enterprise twice then I was told of the situation from my wife, which infuriated me because she is sitting there with a 7 month old child waiting for an hour. Then the dealership suggests using the shuttle to carry her to the enterprise, that has still yet to show up or even call…UNACCECPTIABLE
