No Answer to phone upon arrival; No Shuttle to pick me up; Unsecured Facility; My car key is missing.  

Spoke with Gold Coast 7 hours before I was to arrive at the Fort Lauderdale Airport and advised them again I was arriving at 2 AM and wanted to be assured a shuttle would be available at that early in morning. Was told there was 24 hour shuttle service and to call when I reached the baggage area. I CALLED AT 2 AM THE AFTER-HOURS #  FOR THE SHUTTLE. CALLED AT LEAST A DOZEN TIMES FROM  2:00 AM - 2:45 AM AND GOT VOICEMAIL!  I also tried the main # and got the most ridiculous voicemail message stating that if you are calling after-hours to call the # on the business card. What happens if someone didn’t have the business card? Why not just state the after hours #? Thank god I had it but it made absolutely no difference as they never answered. I asked the police out front if perhaps they had an emergency telephone number for Gold Coast and the officer could not find one other than the number I had.

I HAD TO TAKE A TAXI TO GOLD COAST AT 2:45 AM FROM THE AIRPORT AS THERE WAS NO SHUTTLE. NO ONE WAS AT THE GOLD COAST FACILITY AT AROUND 3AM and I wandered around the parking lot to find my car and to see if anyone was there. I also tapped on the windows of the shuttle vans to see if perhaps one of the drivers was sleeping. I am so lucky I had an extra car key on me and that my vehicle wasn’t blocked in. IT IS  EVIDENT GOLD COAST IS NOT A SECURED PARKING FACILITY. When I mentioned that to them, I was told they never claimed they were. Please take note of that. They are absolutely correct - they aren’t. The website does not claim they are a secure facility. I didn’t realize that when booking. Think about it, do you really want to leave your car in an area that’s not the best in an unsecured lot for any length of time?

I drove my car out of the Gold Coast facility and got home around 4 AM. I called ParkWhiz who I used to make the reservation. They were absolutely wonderful, not just in the ease of booking but also immediately refunded my money.  I called Gold Coast and spoke with Adam who is the manager. He said he would mail me the cost of the taxi (which he did), and my car key (which as of this writing 10 days later has NOT been received).  Adam claimed that he mailed the payment and the key separately as he didn’t want the key to be lost in a regular envelope. If that’s his logic, why not just put the check in the larger envelope containing the key that was supposedly mailed! That makes absolutely no sense and when I asked him about that he admitted it didn’t! 

I am giving 2* since Gold Coast did reimburse me for the cab fare and ParkWhiz gave me no problem in reimbursing me for the parking charge.

Bottom line:

No Answer to phone upon arrival
No Shuttle to pick me up
Unsecured Facility
Have yet to receive my car key

The rate is per calendar day not per 24hrs. I told them my original plan was to be gone 30 hours. They quoted me for 2 days. I was told I could pay when I returned. If you use your credit card they charge you a $5 up charge. Total BS!! I took a earlier flight returning 18 ours later. They forced me to pay for 2 days.  "its calendar days not per hour." When I called upon departing the terminal I was told to watch for the van. I stood there for 15 minutes and watched the driver drive past. I called and they told me he was circling back around. Yeah after they went back to the lot!. So another 20 minutes went by. My point is with the missed pickup they shouldn't have fought with me over the calendar day and only charged me one day. I promise you I wont use them or recommend them.

Great experience with them! Staff was friendly (except the Steelers hater 😂😒) and very helpful. Will definitely use any time I'm in Ft. Lauderdale!

These folks are the Best for airport or cruise ship parking. Great owners, great staff & great service. Best place to park for either of those destinations!

I was sooo pleased with the service. There was little to no wait times to be picked up or dropped off at that airport.  Drivers were friendly and conversational. I would definitely use them again.
