Coming from someone who already has 75 rental days this year, National is by far the best place to rent a car. There is always a variety of cars to choose and the ability to pick your own is a definite plus. Check out is fast, typically less than 10 minutes and you're on your way!  Staff is friendly and accommodating. I will only rent from National.

One of the best airport rental car locations I have found in many years.  Emerald Executive renters greeted by name at check in; good selection of cars for a small lot.  Returns are fast and efficient with plenty of well-trained and pleasant staff on hand.

We had a brand new car (well, just over 2K miles on it) and it drove wonderfully. It didn't have a single dent and still had that new car smell.  It was a 2017 Chevy Impala.  Nice car. The service couldn't have been any better at National either. We were in and out within minutes with no hassles at all. We'll be using National next time as well.

Not good this time but will give them another chance. The car that I rented from them was said to be returned in another state on a different day. This charged my bank account over $1000.00 dollars. I found this out on the last day of my vacation with my wife and we had to cut off our vacation early to get to the National rent a car center because they could not fix the situation over the phone. So we went in and the people were very helpful and offered me $100.00 credit. This was helpful but now they owed me over $1000.00 and i was three days before I got that money back into my account. Everything was on pause because of this and it was not good.

Trouble checking in with an Internal Credit Card from my company.  Agent told me to talk to the manager. Manager stated, "We have updated our system and the internal billing card was not excepted!" I showed  him the number of rentals I had this year and I said the only place I had problems was at the San Antonio and Sacramento sites. 
 
Manager, " I need a personal credit card, and I will also need to see you airline reservations." I ask what does the airline reservations have to do with my National reservations? He stated that in case I would not return without checking out they would know when I would leave Sacramento!! Never had I ever been ask for flight reservations.  The office cleared all misunderstandings especially since the manger was WRONG! 

I arrived at the hotel after midnight and had to prepare for my business meeting next day at 8:00 am.  

I would not give ONE star, however the system you are using does not allow for feedback without a star.
