Be careful when visiting this Emergency Room.  I went to the Emergency Room bleeding heavily from my head and had to have 9 staples.  They stated that they participated with my medical insurance.  However, I was billed by the hospital and the attending physician (who did not participate with my insurance).  I was billed about $2,000 by the physician (not covered by my insurance) because of this.

Either broke or sprained my elbow, waited for over 45 minutes before they even asked if I wanted pain meds, then told me because I drove myself I couldn't receive pain medication. If you are hurt better tough it out and drive to Denison. Patient care is not a priority, especially while the nurse is checking her Facebook page.

As my husband was diagnosed with a slipped disc in his lower back he was prescribed Tramidahl and a muscle relaxer. A few days later the pain was so bad we are back here again. Only to get a nurse who is completely rude. She told my husband that's the  highest pain meds they can offer him even though the last time we were here a lady was prescribed Vicodin!!! For a much less painful situation. I pointed this out to her and her response was only certain Dr's can perscribe those meds. Then proceeded to tell my husband he would just have to just deal with the pain until he can get into see a surgeon to fix the problem. I'm Sorry this is unacceptable behavior coming from a nurse. No compassion no nothing! This is not the first time we have been mistreated at this hospital....  i think we will be switching to Sherman. They have much better bed side manners!! Bonham staff you need a lot more training on how you talk to your resident's!!!!!

I have not been to this hospital, but their reputation (based on recent accounts) is such that I never, EVER will. Based on 1st-hand accounts of people I know well and whose judgment trust implicitly,  if I had 15 minutes to live, I would risk it and make the 20-minute drive to Texoma Medical Center or Wilson N Jones Hospital rather than make the 10-minute drive to this place.

Went there this morning with my son and told them about the blood in his stool,fever, and his diaper rash. They didn't check any of his symptoms and told me to just use diaper rash cream and rotate ibuprofen and Tylenol. Then just sent us home. As the day progressed his stools started having more blood so I ended up driving him out to medical city of McKinney. The checked over all his issues and even tested his stools that they did varifay blood. Medical city of McKinney is by far better then this Bonham hospital and is so worth the drive. So don't go to Bonham and drive to McKinney if you want the best care for you or your loved ones..
