The customer service at this place is atrocious. We booked a car for 4 adults and an infant for our vacation. When we got to the location, it turns out we were getting a tiny car that wouldn't fit our group and the luggage we had to bring along, especially all the bulky baby stuff. 

Instead of offering compassionate and decent customer service, the agent there was gruff and unbelievably rude to us. Finally, he tried to offer us a larger vehicle (after claiming they didn't have any) but for twice the price! 

I don't recommend this rental car agency. You may save a few bucks, but trust me, the service here is not worth it.

Edit: I think the primary concern isn't with your policies and rules, but with the way your staff handled people that just got off a plane with an infant and were clearly stressed out. A little empathy and a kind tone go a long way, even when letting people down.

I've skimmed through some of the reviews and the owner's responses to them. There seems to be a disconnect between what people are complaining about and the nitpicky details the owner provides. If so many people are saying again and again that your staff is rude and not personable, then maybe talk to your staff? Do some professional development and learn how to speak to people. Be more clear and forthcoming with all of the "standard" fees so people are aware. People work hard for their money and will always feel cheated if they're surprised by fees they weren't made aware of. These are just basics.

booked as "unlimited miles" on a "3rd party site" ...got there, was told I don't have unlimited miles since I live in Florida..150 free miles a day is all..49 cents a mile after..customer service was SO rude, told me I.should have done my "due diligence" and read the "fine print"...only good thing they didn't change me cancel it.  Went to enterprise, told them, the cut me a deal and earned a customer for life! Not worth the few dollars I would have saved at ace...

Shuttle wasn't timely. Every other rental car company's shuttles circled at least 3 times as frequently as Ace's. When I finally got to the location they basically doubled their prices in fees. They also told me that I would get a fee if I went over a certain number of miles even though the booking said unlimited miles. I ended up just getting a Lyft out and cancelling my trip.  Huge waste of time, effort and money. Will never do business with them again. 

UPDATE: The response below from the owner is inaccurate. I provided my insurance information at the counter to the agent via my phone. I left after not being satisfied with the transaction.

Hoping I can be frank on here... this place sucks! They have deceptive business practice and when the salesperson was questioned she became quite rude. Luckily, a credit card had not been given yet or it would have been charged even though the reservation was cancelled. Please do not anticipate fair business practice. Very grateful I learned early on. The same $275 rental at Enterprise would have cost over $800 by the time they charged for "unlimited miles".

The price was right, but the service was definitely lacking.  When it was time to return to the airport, the shuttle driver was getting ready to clock out for the day.  Instead of coming to pick us up, he was sitting in a parking lot so he didn't have to work past 5.  I know this because the shuttle driver who was friendly said he always does that, and no one in management seems to care.  So make sure you leave lots of time to get to the airport.  Car was nice and well maintained.
