Thanks to Robert at Avis TPA for securing the coat my step daughter left in their rental car when returning it to Tampa Airport. Took two tries through corporate number to get through via local Tampa number but when I did Robert immediately responded that he had a coat, required me to ID it's labels and advised me he would hold it there for me. Picked it next day. Thanks for great customer service. Car was nice too although I didn't get to drive the cool Mustang GT.

Would give no stars if possible.
Waited in line for over an hour and a half because there was only two advisors working who spent over 20 minutes with each customer trying to sell them add ons.
When I eventually reached the desk, the advisor got very disinterested and abrupt when I politely informed him that I only wanted what I had already paid for. He even started to text on his mobile rather than talk to me. 
All I wanted to do was pay my security deposit and pick up my keys, having already been travelling for 13 hours. Alamo managed to do just that last time I came to Florida.
Just a word of caution as well. Be sure what you want and actually need!! A toll package was offered to me even though I later found out that all tolls had been temporarily suspended in the wake of hurricane Irma and remained suspended for most of our stay.
This whole experience has put me off ever using Avis again, and highlights how British Airways are happy for their partners to provide substandard customer service, as they are no better themselves. 
Avoid ever using both if you can.

Completely different then online reservation. Didn't have car we booked so charged us more for car they did have. No apology or anything.

Have been renting from Avis for many years. Never been disappointed. Courteous attentive service. Great rental deals. Ultra dependable. Most recent rental just proved the point.

The best car rental experience I've had in my 25 years in Florida... My sales associates Mercedes and Omar are awesome...
Their excellent customer service and caring professionalism help to take some of the stress out of a sad family funeral gathering...
