staff SUCK! specifically Sarah who delighted in being Nasty, unfriendly, unhelpful, sarcastic and generally a horrible human being for the length my interactions with her. I rented a truck. they did not say several things when booking. It was the cheapest till you attempt to add insurance then it is the most expensive. the staff at this location simply are not customer service friendly when all they do is deal with customers. makes no sense. The truck has a governor which limits its top speed to 79 mph. I understand the need for this with a heavy truck but would preferred to have it at 85 as once a person is out of Oregon the speed limits can be 75 to 80 mph. given that trucks are heavy it is not uncommon to get up speed before long hills. the governor prohibited ease of travel in this situation. there is also not cruise control. meaning that while I travelled through Utah I literally had to have the accelerator floored to cover all the hills. Further still the angle of the gas tank fill tube is such that several gas station fuel nozzles would click off prior to being truly full. meaning you have to stand over the pump for the time it take to put in 35 gallons. the interior of the cab was a mess. including a sweater from a previous renter. Clearly they did not bother to clean it ahead of my rental. And finally the check out process was questionable as the truck had a HUGE dented front bumper, scratched and dents tot he top of the box, and a crack in the front windshield that the clerk failed to note at check out. Why would they fail to note such large damages unless they are trying to put it on me? In all if you HAVE to use a truck company this can work but if you want a better experience pay the extra money for a better company. In the end the price is the same when you actually pick up the truck. SCREW these folk they SUCK!

My family and I, came in to pick up a Costco travel reservation rental car today, we were warmly greeted by Sarah who then quickly found us on her reservations list, she then patiently allowed us to view the vehicles available for the classification we had initially choosen, then when we decided to upgrade to the next size up, the difference in price was surprisingly fair, she also saved us an arm and leg when we inquired about the length of the rental agreements flexibility for an extension, to top it all off Sarah even made sure the vehicle was clean for us even though she was all alone and with out a lot attendant as the store got busy!

Would not recommend this location.  Car was dusty inside and out on pick up.  Made the reservation by phone and was told that they offered pick up and drop off service.  Called in to schedule pick up and was told only one person was working that day so they could not do the pick up.  Cost me $20 in UBER/LYFT to get there to pick up vehicle.  When I got there, there were three people behind the counter - but no one was available to do the promised pick up service.  On return, again, had to spend another $20 on UBER/LYFT to get home after dropping off the vehicle as the fellow was the only one working that day.  He said most of Portland Avis locations do not offer pick up/delivery.  Cost me an extra $40 on the 9 day rental.  Left me sour on the experience.  Car ran fine.  2 stars.

We called and made a reservation over the phone. Show up, the guy scheduled us to pick up a half hour away. Now they don't have a car that's acceptable. To make things better, because we didn't pick up where the idiot on the phone had us picking up ( his mistake) we have to pay $30 more. And to top it off, the agent was helping somebody else when we arrived. No big deal. He says have a seat I'll help you next. Well somebody else walked in and got in line and he did not help us next. This place is terrible. Never will rent from Avis again.

hidden fees, un-friendly attendant. Wasn't an awful experience, but wasn't super pleasant either.
