I've been here three times for service, only once did I feel the service team were attentive and not pushing me along. This time, I took my car in for two recalls. Also, asked for tires to be rotated and checking on an issue with my car locks. When I arrived the service guy was welcoming. I explained the issue with the remote access. Car locks were becoming impossible to open by remote or door button. The car had even started not recognizing the key, while it was in my bag in the backseat. I asked him if it could be a battery issue with the remote. He immediately dismissed that, saying it sounded like a bigger issue and unfortunately they were too busy to look at. I explained I had rented a car for 24 hours, and could leave the car. He explained they were SO busy that only recently they started taking appointments again. Really?? When I started to push, he said "if they had time" they would "try". I knew it wasn't going to happen and it didn't. Well, two weeks later still no appointment and now the message the key wasn't in the car was flashing off and on. I went to another Hyundai dealership down by where I work. 5 minutes later, I walked out with two new remote batteries ($10 total). Problem fixed. I will give them one more chance because they are close to where I live, however they need to really work on the customer not feeling like they are problem because the service department is "so busy". I get it is, just don't make the customer feel it's there fault or they are being slighted because of it. I've been to other busy Hyundai service departments and have NEVER felt like me or my car were just being pushed through.

UPDATE BELOW Good service. Unfortunately the part they ordered for my car was not the right one. They said they would replace the part with the right one once it came in, I'll update my review at that point. The staff was friendly and helpful though and I'm glad I got my car from Jim Ellis Hyundai. UPDATE: Jim Ellis Hyundai got all the parts and everything sorted out with customer support. All the work was taken care of by them and they called me back in when the new part arrived. They were very caring and fixed by part free of charge. It took a little time due to the catalog issue but otherwise, great service and I would definitely go here for all my car needs!

Excellent Service Department! I bought a used 2011 Sonata from a different dealership and the engine locked up unexpectedly at 80,000 miles. I had it towed here and Russ and A.G. helped me every step of the way and were able to get me a new engine free of charge!!! Quick, professional and punctual, 10/10 would bring my car here again for service.

I have been taking my car to get serviced here for the last 3 years. While their work is good, I have experienced extremely long wait times for service that should not take very long. On one occasion, I waited over 3 1/2 hours for an oil change and new tires (I was given a free oil change and told to give a 5 star rating). During another visit, I waited over 2 hours for an oil change and air filter replacement. If you ask them if they have any service specials, they tell you they cannot provide that info and you have to try and find them yourself. That is terrible customer service. I would think twice before taking your car to get serviced at Jim Ellis Hyundai. I have had great experiences at other dealerships, such as Paramount Hyundai in Hickory NC. After my experience at Jim Ellis, I would much rather drive the 3 1/2 hours to NC to get my car serviced by a team that cares about honesty and customer service.

I purchased my 2012 pre-certified accent last year. Each time that I have brought it in to be serviced, I have been treated with such professionalism and respect. Its really a family oriented environment and love the atmosphere they create. They're always busy, but render great results! Gerry is great! She personally came up to me to ask how I was and if I needed anything. She's truly a gem. Peter my car care technician treated me with such care and respect, I'd hand pick him out of a crowd any day. I really felt like he cared for my well being. He took his time to explain my situation and listened well. I usually take my car elsewhere for regular maintenance, however, he made me want to bring my car in each time for maintenance. Thanks Jim Ellis Hyundai for having such great people as a part of your staff! Happy Thanksgiving!
