Horrible Experience!  I rented a car in Chicago for five days and drove a total of 95 miles.  After returning home I was billed for the rental of the car and an additional $32. for Toll Booth charges.  I never saw a toll booth and never "blew thru" them as they claimed.  A TOTAL RIP off!  On top of that their Customers service was non-existent and the car was dirty.  Do Not Rent from Dollar!  You will not save a dime!

Both online and at the desk I told them I did not want the extra insurance. At the end of the transaction the guy handed me a paper that looked like a receipt of my car rental and asked me to sign it. I did thinking it was just a receipt. When I got home I saw that they had charged me twice for the car. When I called they said that the second charge was for the insurance that I specifically had said no to! The "receipt" I signed was actually a little contract for that insurance. Very dishonest!

Not sure why so many negative reviews.  I've been renting from them every other week (literally 20 something times a year) over the past couple of years and they've always been great to rent from, from the counter staff to the people on the lot. I've rarely had issues with the cars, and they've always handled those needs quickly and efficiently. I have no desire to rent elsewhere.  Keep up the good work Dollar SLC airport.

If you book through a third party, make sure that your total cost, including the taxes and fees, match up to the estimated quote. I would double-check this at the time you actually book the car and not when you ready to pick up at the counter. It may take more time, but will save you a big headache, extra money, and a lot of frustration! Those taxes and fees are very high and you may not be getting the deal you thought you were. Take personal responsibility to make sure ALL costs are accurate and everything is documented. The local customer service was not transparent enough for me.

Very fast check-in and return! Lowest price of all cars in SLC terminal. Receipts were emailed in minutes within check-in, then again at return.
