Awful Service - Even for President Circle Status Customers! To preface my review, I have President's Circle status with Hertz, thus I am very loyal to the Hertz brand. I use them all the time for business and more often than not have excellent and convenient service. It honestly pains me to write a poor review because I have had great experiences with many other Hertz locations in the past. Now to my experience with this store. I got into a wreck on Friday thus needed a rent a car until my car was fixed from Body Shop. Now - I could go anywhere to get a rent a car as the insurance company is taking care of cost, however I obviously thought of Hertz as my rent-a-car provider for this unfortunate circumstance. This store was the closest to my house so I called them up and explained my situation. I told them that the insurance company said I had the choice of paying for a rental and getting reimbursed or just letting them make a reservation for me. Since I have President Circle status, I knew I can always get a better vehicle for under the $30/day rate than what the insurance company would. Automatically the lady started accusing me up trying to get Hertz points off of this situation! This was the last thing from my mind - I simply did not want to drive a Dodge Dart around for a week since I get a free upgrade with my status. I calmly dismissed her accusation, and said I wanted to utilize my status to drive in a car more suitable to my preferences. She then immediately puts me on hold and after 14 minutes on hold, I hang up and call again. She picks up right away...I kindly try remind her of our discussion and ultimately in need a rental car. She snaps at me telling me that she is with an 'actual' customer and says she would call me right back...It has been 3 days and still waiting for a call... If this is how this Hertz store treats their President Circle customer's, I cannot imagine a regular customer's experience. Just awful, especially given me immediate need and circumstances.

***Cheaters **** Cheaters *** They are cheaters. If you don't watch your contract, they will add additional charges without telling you. I should have checked the review and not rented from them. Reserved a per-paid rental, only to find out on return they charged my CC more than twice the amount marking it as upgrade. I never asked for upgrade. For the price they charged me I could have rented a full size SUV like Tahoe and still paid less. It was a mistake not reading the contract before driving out, I always do this but for some reason trusted the rep--- bad mistake. If you ever "have" to rent from them read the contract before you sign. Note: They wont show you the contract and ask you to sign on the device, all it has is a blank screen for you to sign.*** DO NOT SIGN ***, ask them to give you a printed contract , read and then sign on the printed contract. If at all possible STAY AWAY FROM HERTZ and especially KATY location - read all the reviews it is the same tricks over and over again. I trusted these reps, that I gave good review at the store again a bad mistake on my part. I learned an expensive lesson. Hope this helps you to avoid being ripped off.

While at Hertz they were very helpful. I was told my car would be in the shop for 7 days. Since I didn't have to pay for the rental because State Farm was paying for it, I decided to buy some personal insurance on the vechile for SEVEN days. We sat down & signed a contract of me authorizing them to charge me 13$ a day for SEVEN days. It turned out I had the vechile for 17 days because of problems at the shop. Once I returned the rental (clean & full tank of gas) I got a charge for 253$! I called their costumer service & actually argued with the lady (her named was 'T') for my money back. I ONLY authorized the insurance for 7 days. Not 17. & the contract stated so. She ended up refunding only 150$ back into my account (of course in 5-7 business days) so I'm out that much money. I will never use this location/company again. They didn't abide by our contract we both signed to. I'm extremely upset with these hidden fees.

After Harvey even with the wait two young gentlemen were so patient with a lot of angry people. Kudos to them!
