These are consistently the rudest people I have ever encountered. They do not provide any information when asked very politely. I also made an appointment online, which was confirmed by email, to apply for a passport, and I showed up and no one was in the designated passport office. When I went to the counter, the woman behind the counter very rudely brushed me off and did not give me any indication of when I could come back or why there was nobody there to honor my appointment time. Decent customer service skills would be appreciated. There is always a line as well, which moves very slow. Would not recommend going to this location if not necessary.

Houston used to have a wonderful downtown post office. The property was prime downtown property and they sold it. Now Houston, the fourth largest city in the US with a vibrant downtown business and residential community, has NO downtown post office. I live downtown; I could walk or bike to the old post office, Now I have to get a car (the "new" downtown post office isn't even on Light Rail) and drive to midtown, to the Hadley post office, which has been designated as the new downtown post office. It was slightly enlarged but only has room for three stations. I was just there on a regular Saturday. The line was out the door and remained so. The wait was about 30 minutes. The clerks were friendly and efficient...no problems there. But the facility is inadequate for Houston and an embarrassment. Although newly renovated, the displays were totally in disarray...with collapsing shelves, shelves installed upside down, torn edges, tape marks and such like. Most of the box, card, tape and other displays appeared not to have been straightened or restocked since they opened two years ago. Many of the cards were on the floor and envelopes and cards were all over the display in total disarray...again...no one has straightened or restocked in ages. The passport sign is covered by some display that is largely empty. The counters and doors were visibly dirty with food and fingerprints, and the self-service kiosk hasn't worked for ages. In addition, paint is pulled off the wall in many places where tape had earlier been and has not. Even repaired, and the floor had litter and was dirty, as if it had not been cleaned properly (edges, under displays) in a long while. Again...the overworked clerks were excellent but as the downtown post office for the City of Houston it is inadequate, horribly located for the downtown, and an embarrassment. Almost as bad as our train station. We and guests to this city deserve better, even if that means some sort of private/public partnership.

I have a great experience here the last 3 times I’ve came — nice workers, quick lines (even in holidays!) and always has cute stamps in stock!!

Tried to call ahead for passport photos and the line was continuously busy. Went in and they said I needed an appointment. Tried to set one up online but today is blocked off.

anyone complaining about service here either never lived anywhere else or forgot what it's like. I travel a lot for work for months at a time and this is my 2nd favorite post office ever. Staff is always nice and polite. And with being open till 7 pm i wouldn't care if they yelled at me like they do in many other houston POs
